Wood Works.

A compilation of my projects from sculpture class last quarter.  Spent some time in the wood shop, got quite familiar with all the tools with the help of our favourite Fred Ploeger of the UCSD Mandeville wood shop.

Dehydration

Dried out plants are my inspiration.

Decided to make it into a linocut - haven't done this since middle school.  I forgot how fun it was to make prints.

Terrarium and basil sitting in a pot

New project.  I wonder if this will work.

This is where you put in water to keep the soil moist... (in case you forget to water them)

After a week - I see sprouts!

Blocks of colour and a streak of gold.

I was bored and I found tape.

I made this one with the thought of studying for my chemistry exam that's in two days.  It was sort of inspired by water molecules and bonding.  I don't know what it is about procrastinating that makes everything so thrilling.  Even laundry.  And cleaning the house.

There were three: turquoise, magenta and salmon.  And a streak of gold.  I like this combination.  And I love random brainstorming.
